Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 18 June 2025  |  Effective Date: 18 June 2025

1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or enrolling in a course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use our website or enrol in our courses.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you are enrolling on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

3. Course Descriptions and Availability

Pintar Studio offers three online courses: Coding Basics for AI (six weeks, RM 145), Applied Machine Learning (ten weeks, RM 600), and the Generative AI Workshop (twelve weeks, RM 415). Courses are delivered fully online.

We reserve the right to modify course content, schedules, or pricing with reasonable notice. Course availability is subject to cohort capacity. We may decline to accept an enrolment at our discretion if we believe the course is not suitable for the applicant's current level.

All courses are taught in English and are available to residents of Malaysia and other countries, subject to no legal restriction on accessing our services from their jurisdiction.

4. Enrolment and Learner Accounts

Enrolment begins when you submit an enquiry, receive a course offer from us, and complete payment. You will receive access to course materials following payment confirmation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials provided to you. You must not share access to course materials with any third party. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at [email protected].

5. Learner Responsibilities

By enrolling in a course, you agree to:

We may suspend or terminate access to a course if a learner breaches these responsibilities, without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, exercises, feedback templates, and materials produced by Pintar Studio remain our intellectual property. Your enrolment grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your personal learning during the course period.

Code and projects that you write during the course are your own work. We do not claim ownership of work you produce as part of your exercises or projects.

You must not reproduce, redistribute, sell, or publish our course materials without our prior written permission.

7. Payment Terms

Course fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payment instructions are shared following your course offer. We accept bank transfer and other commonly used payment methods in Malaysia.

Full payment is required before course access is granted. Payment confirms your place in a cohort. We do not hold places without payment confirmation.

Refund policy: If you withdraw from a course before the end of week one, you may request a refund of 50% of the course fee. No refund is available after week one has commenced. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

8. Course-Specific Terms

Coding Basics for AI: Weekly exercises must be submitted within the course window to receive tutor feedback. Late submissions beyond two weeks may not receive feedback, though course access continues.

Applied Machine Learning: Two graded projects are included. Graded projects must be submitted by the end of week eight and week ten respectively to receive full written feedback. Project resubmission is not available within the same cohort.

Generative AI Workshop: A mentored final project is due by end of week twelve. The mentor review is a one-round process. Learners who do not submit by the deadline receive a completion document without a mentor review note.

Completion documents are issued to learners who have submitted all required work by the end of the course period.

9. Disclaimers

Our courses are provided in good faith and with the intention of supporting practical learning. However, we make no representations that completing a course will result in employment, a salary increase, or any specific professional outcome. Learning outcomes depend on the effort and background each learner brings.

Course materials reflect the state of AI tools and libraries at the time of their last revision. The field moves quickly; some references may become outdated between cohorts. We review and update materials periodically but cannot warrant completeness at all times.

The website and course platform are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that they will be error-free or available without interruption.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Pintar Studio's liability for any claim arising from or related to a course or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of income, lost opportunities, or damage to data arising from use of our courses or website.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pintar Studio, its staff, and tutors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms & Conditions or your misuse of our course materials or website.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement. You may withdraw from a course at any time, subject to the refund policy in Section 7. We may terminate your access to a course if you breach these terms. Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with Johor Bahru as the preferred venue.

Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will endeavour to respond within 14 business days.

14. General Provisions

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or enrolment in a new course after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Changes do not affect enrolments already in progress at the time of the update.
